Stage two of Council rehabilitation works on William Berry Drive and Dickson Road are in progress to improve traffic operations and road safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.
Key improvements will include:
- Re-configuring the intersection and approaches and widening Dickson Road to provide a left and right turn lane into William Berry Drive
- Upgrade existing zebra pedestrian crossing on William Berry Drive and adding an additional pedestrian refuge on Dickson Road
- Construction of a new 2.0m wide concrete pathway on the western verge on Dickson Road
- Planting new trees for shade
- Upgrade street lighting
When will the works be done?
Most of the works will be undertaken during the night (6:00pm – 6:00am) to reduce traffic disruptions, improve safety for workers and to complete the works as efficiently as possible.
How will you be affected?
The works may result in temporary changes to the current traffic conditions, for example detours and/or speed reductions. Please observe instructions from work crews and on road signage and plan your travel accordingly.
